About Our Accredited Kindergarten

Kids grow up fast and before you know it, they will be starting kindergarten. How did it all go by so fast? At Montessori Children Centre , we know that it can be difficult to watch your little one grow before your eyes and accept they are heading to kindergarten, but this should be a time in their life that is exciting for both of you!

Kindergarten is the start of your child’s academic journey. This is where they will develop a love for learning, build a foundation for years to come and develop a variety of new skills. Our Accredited kindergarten program is a fun and exciting time for children at the Montessori Children Centre. We work hard to ensure this time in your child’s life sets them up for future success. Our accredited kindergarten program allows our older students to go to 1st grade if that is the intended wish and our method of teaching allows the students to blossom so they are conformable in their next grade. Our program includes kindergarten enrichment like STEM, art, French, yoga, music, dance, and sports.

Enrichment Classes

While the basic classes, like math, science, and language are important, we also offer enrichment classes, which provide students with numerous benefits and makes us different. These classes include yoga, dance, French, cooking, music and movement, and more.

During your child’s time in kindergarten, they will learn a lot of new information as well as develop their skills further. At Montessori Children Centre , this is the time where we work with your child to progress from a “show me how” to a “ I can do it myself” mentality. From here, we will work with your child to go one step further and reach the “let me teach you how” stage.

Language

By the time your child reaches kindergarten, they will have a strong foundation for language and continue to develop their knowledge and skills. Our skilled teachers will help students further develop their language skills as they make their way to first grade.

Math

We work with our students to learn and understand math and how it can be found and used in our daily lives. They will develop the ability to count and perform simple math problems as they prepare for elementary school.

History

Your child will also learn some basic history lessons and important dates in our history. History gives your child a different perspective of the world around them. These lessons can help your child think about everything in a new light and keep them interested.

Science

Throughout your child’s time in our kindergarten program, they will gain a basic understanding and get hands-on experience with different types of science. Science helps your child get a better understanding of how the world works and their surroundings.
